Both news organizations provide their respective fans with great coverage of their campuses, and their reporters compete for statewide bragging rights, journalism jobs and more. Now, we're upping the rivalry with a friendly fundraising competition.

We're asking all Hoosier fans to help support student journalism at IU by donating to the Indiana Daily Student Legacy Fund. Ball State fans are also fundraising for their journalism program. Whichever school raises the most money by the time the Hoosiers and Cardinals kick off in Indianapolis will win eternal bragging rights. May the best team win!

Alumni and friends of the Indiana Daily Student created the IDS Legacy Fund to support editorial operations at Indiana University student publications, including the IDS and Arbutus. Your tax-deductible donation will help carry forward the decades-long tradition of excellence in student media at IU providing support for initiatives such as:

  • Training opportunities for student journalists
  • Development of new story forms that will keep content lively as journalism continues to change
  • Travel expenses so student journalists can cover major events, such as national athletic championships and political conventions
  • Need-based scholarships and other financial aid so that students can devote time to journalism

Please donate to the Indiana Daily Student Legacy Fund today!
