Cecil R. Drummond, 65, of Marysville died Friday morning, May 18, at OSU surrounded by his family.
A retired truck driver, he was employed with Woodruff
Enterprises of Springfield. In earlier years, he built race cars and,
through his life, was an avid NASCAR fan. His greatest passions were
fishing, telling stories and being a “Rocket Surgeon”.
Cecil was born May 6, 1953 in Columbus to the late Cecil R. and Dorothy V. (Merritt) Drummond Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Janet (Maddix);
their daughters, Leslie R. (Jason Koch) Drummond, Misty R. (Cory)
Wedding both of Richwood; 7 grandchildren, Ashley (Braeden) Riley,
Corbin Bunsold, Emerica Cremeans, Chase, Mason, Addison & Isabella
Wedding; a great granddaughter Charlotte Riley; and a sister Sherry
Drummond of Pedro, Ohio.
A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 6-8pm at
the Ingram Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1pm
Wednesday at the Flag Spring Cemetery in Waterloo.
