Care At Home: For George Caggiano

Recent Updates

Update #1

Our dear cousin, George Caggiano, needs our help more than ever. Many of you know George, and those of us who do understand the challenging journey he's been on. For the past two months, George has been in a private care facility in Florida, battling advanced dementia. This terrible disease has taken a significant toll, leaving him requiring round-the-clock care, including oxygen support, and tragically, he's no longer able to control his bodily functions.

The cost of this private care has become overwhelming. George now owes $28,000, and the facility has given us a heartbreaking deadline: June 28th, 2025. If we can't settle this debt, George will be transferred to a state-run facility in Florida.

But there's hope, and a chance to bring George closer to family and ensure he receives the compassionate care he deserves. My brother Frank, his wife Tara, and I are ready to step up. We're committed to bringing George to New York, where we can access state-funded, round-the-clock home care that will cover his ongoing needs. This means George can live in a comfortable, loving home environment, surrounded by family, rather than in an institutional setting far away.

However, making this move requires some crucial first steps. We need to rent a two-bedroom house in New York, get the utilities turned on, and cover the transportation costs to bring George safely from Florida. These initial expenses are a significant hurdle, and it's where we desperately need your support.

George has always been a part of our family, and now it's our turn to rally around him. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a profound difference in bringing George home and giving him the dignity and care he deserves in his final years. Please consider donating to help us make this urgent move possible before the June 28th deadline.

Thank you for your love, support, and generosity.
