I recently had the privilege to meet folks in Jacksonville who are "DOING SOMETHING." One group of folks is the Outreach Team from Bold City Church. Along with Street Pastor & Light of the World Ministries, they are taking a message of love and compassion to the streets of our city.
At an event a few weeks back, I learned that they can get bread to help feed folks who are hungry, but they do not always have something to put on the bread.
At one apartment outreach, the children were simply happy to have some bread to eat. But some peanut butter would put a little more nutrition in their bellies.
I kind of take peanut butter for granted, don't you? It's simple, it's fairly inexpensive, and a little bit goes a long way.
What I hope to accomplish is to provide enough peanut butter to help the outreach ministry for a few months. They may use it in snacks for the children, or donate it directly to those who are hungry. Just know that people in need will be fed.
If you would prefer to actually donate Peanut Butter instead of funding, I'm working on a way you can do that, too. Just send me a message through the Fundly website.
THANK YOU for helping to feed those who may otherwise be hungry with such a simple gesture.
